    Abstract of research paper:
    The basic argument of my research paper is that performance art in New York City in the nineties and scientific experimentation may seem multidisciplinary but are in fact interdisciplinary.  Both performance artists and scientists manipulate technology to affect awe and mystery in their audience evoking a sixth sense.  In addition to tracing the shamanism in society, art and technology, I will show how truth is manipulated to mystify the viewer, how our five senses react to mass interdisciplinary data, and how reproduction (repetition) is integral to both art and to science.  Furthermore, by logical deduction I will prove that we are all performers, we are all natural scientists and all shamans.
