Is it through the fear of not being man enough as in Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness, that the early 20^th century homosapiens did not and could not perceive a resonance and balance within themselves and their environment? Their failure to realize that everything is relational including their senses aand emotions is the imbalance and distortion which created in themselves and the morphogenetic field of their environment a living hell of disease and discord. This is the dynamic process of disease which is a distortion of the morphogenetic or universal energy field that forms environmental carcinogens of pollution from the macrocosm down through the microcosm of a life cell to form a cancer virus. The morphogenetic field in all life forms has an essence and intelligence that can be communicated with through our senses that is processed through our sensory system which then creates our forms and language. Only in being in harmony with these life processes can there be the healing of man and nature.
