Herbal Therapy and Nutrition

Why do hospitals carefully serve overcooked, canned vegetables, mashed potato mix, a few ounces of rubbery ham covered with canned pineapple sauce, jello, butter, salt, wonder bread etc. in 1996? Do they think these meals have any nutritional value? Will the AMA and FDA eventually regulate the herbal industry? Can peri- and post-menopausal women really get relief from these combinations of dong quai, licorice, yam, etc.? How reliable is ginseng as a way to increase energy and potency? Why is it almost impossible to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean protein when stopping on the expressway? Why do we choose to support and eat junk food?
