Research Question (Clear, unambiguous)	"Does childhood obesity result in increased likelihood of type II diabetes?"  A straightforward research question, although a bit lacking in the social aspects we would expect.
Relevant Literature	Simply listing URLs is inappropriate.  The two articles in question are relevant, but they do not define what the literature review should cover.
Causal Interpretations (clear, all parts defined, mechanisms, controls, plausible)	The causal alternatives are straightforward and reasonable.  That they neglect any mention of social factors is odd.  Childhood obesity (and adult obesity) is neither random nor a simple reflection of genetic predisposition.
Data (variables, sample, comparison)	The Add Health data seem appropriate.
Research Value	Showing the significance of childhood obesity will not be possible without examining the various conditions that could cause spurious findings or suppress recognition of significant ones.
Overall	This is a sensible initial project outline that we would expect to be expanded to include social conditions if it were to be pursued.
